# Migrate

Migrate brings content from another platform into Cedros through a guarded three-step wizard: **Plan**, **Source data**, and **Review**.

## Plan

Choose a source lane—**MongoDB**, **PostgreSQL**, or **WordPress**—and a destination: Blog, Page, Docs, Custom data, Media library, Navigation menu, Forms, Redirects, or Theme & site settings. Custom data also needs a collection name.

## Source data

MongoDB and PostgreSQL accept a live connection or uploaded export. WordPress uses an uploaded export. Adapters include automatic detection, WordPress core XML, Contact Form 7, WPForms, Redirection, and generic JSON/CSV. Advanced mapping lets you match source fields to the selected destination.

## Review and import

Run **Preview** before importing. The preview shows total rows and issues. Import remains blocked when there are no rows or any unresolved issue. A successful import records the operation in data-ops history. If commit fails, Cedros reports that the site was not changed.

Migration requires `data:ops:write`. Keep the tab open during a large import, and use **Start over** only when you intend to clear the current wizard state.
