# Site SEO

SEO combines site-wide metadata defaults, sitemap health, and redirects.

## Metadata defaults

Set the default title template, description, structured-data type, and official public profile links. Common networks have named fields, and other authoritative profile or reference URLs can be added one per line. Valid HTTPS profile links are emitted as schema.org `sameAs` values on the site's Organization or Person entity. Individual pages, posts, and docs can override their own metadata in their editors.

## Sitemap

Review whether the sitemap was generated, how many URLs it contains, and whether it was submitted to Google. Use the available generation/submission action when the site configuration permits it.

## Redirects

Create, edit, test, or remove URL-forwarding rules in the embedded redirect table. See [Redirects](redirects.md) for the full workflow. The old `/admin/settings/redirects` section and `/admin/settings/site/redirects` slug are compatibility paths; the canonical tab is `/admin/settings/site/seo`.
